Sorry, I forgot that English isn't your first language.

"Soul searching" is a figure of speech which I would define as introspection, contemplation or more or less thinking deeply about how you feel about something. If you're having difficulty making an important decision about something you would "search your soul". Thinking about something deeply, etc.

I hope that makes more sense. Thank you for your post. I'm glad you posted this topic.

So it‘s some kind of self reflection?
Well I can try it. It‘s just that I don‘t usually know how to make sense of my thoughts. I often don‘t know if I‘m feeling bad about something until it suddenly overcomes me. I honestly don‘t know how to think deeply about something, because my thoughts then often go into the negative. I try to inform myself more about it, because it does sound interesting (If I understand it correctly) but it will be hard. Thanks anyway :)

No problem :) I‘m happy to hear that my post made you glad.

I feel the same way, its like, I'm romanticizing it, its who I am, I hope I really am autistic. I put on masks. I remember a childhood playing outside alone and loving school and sitting by myself being a loner. I don't have a diagnosis. But its part of my identity now.
