UK permit to park freely extended to those with autism etc

Yes, I have had several pairs. But they don't work for me because they don't block out bass. They actually block out a lot except the bass sounds and those are the sounds that I am most sensitive to. They actually amplify the bass sometimes. But I do have them and I use them a lot. In fact, I sometimes sleep with them. They can be unbearably painful as are foam earplugs but sometimes I just put up with the pain in order to help with the sound control. I need to go to the hunting section and try the ones that are rated for 12 gauge shotguns and see if they work any better. But so far, it does not matter how much I have paid for ear protectors, earplugs, custom earplugs that are made molded to my ears that cost hundreds of dollars, wearing plugs and defenders at the same time, nothing has worked to block bass.

If it's very loud, you could get some very effective ones if you Google.

Apparently they do make headphones that specifically block out low frequency sounds. Here is a link to some discussion:

It actually makes sense to me- the place I am in the most danger in daily life would be parking lots because of my smell sensitivity. If I walk past as much as one person smoking I run off in panic, my mom has caught me by the shirt more than once in the last second when I dashed off in front of a car, this is probably the most likely way for me to die young. It scares me and everyone around me.

So having a parking pass would potentially be a matter of safety for me- I wouldn't need it every time for sure, but it would be way safer than attempting to walk through a large parking lot with hidden smokers waiting for me like landmines.

Thank you so much for this link. I will have to save up for quite a while because that they cost about a month's wages for me. But it will be worth it if I can manage to somehow save for them. If I can get approved for disability, it will be easier to get some. Thanks again for the link.

Wouldn't really want one, I prefer to park in areas toward the rear of a car park where it's less busy, I find it less stressful that way. Also prevents other people from damaging my car, the amount of times I've seen people just swing their door open into the car next to them is unbelievable.
