I love my son and myself and I have lots of time for us both! There’s a three-hour limit for everyone that I like very much. Yes, I guess I have a sliding scale of tolerance before I get drained/resentful.

Being around my family drains me after a few hours of being in the room with them. I'm trying to fit in and I succeed until we're all at the dinner table. I start telling family stories from the past. My niece shoots off some French words that she knows and I shoot off some German words that I know. I get a feeling over me that I've screwed up but "not quite so royally" because everyone else seems more royal than me. I sneak into the spare bedroom and go on WP
