Currently in master's in Geology. I want to go for a PhD but that didn't go over so well last round (still not sure what happened there - it was one of the most bizarre waiting periods I've ever had). I did pretty bad in my first year of bachelor's but turned it around when I found my special interest.

I'm an old school Dipl.-Ing. (a degreed engineer of a German university). I'm a software developer in automobile industry since many years now. You'll find my software in many trucks, tractors, cars and car workshops all over the world.

I dropped out of high school (because I was bored to tears) and college (because I couldn't afford the tuition despite four part-time jobs). and yet, I was able to become an adviser to the U.S. Office of the Attorney for the District of Utah and many other government offices. How does a drop-out kid get invited to the White House to meet the vice president? Hm. I am still trying to figure out how I did that bit of magic.

It not magic. Some of us Asperger's are the most trustworthy men on earth and natural leaders. Once you recognise your skills you'll find that nearly all men in leading positions trust you and want you as a friend as long as you are self-confident, honest and friendly. I think even Trump and Putin would trust me at first sight. Btw: both are quite OK and need trustworthy allies even if they don't really get and like each other.

Why, thank you!

I have a full B.A. in English. I also have two partial Master's degrees in a couple of teaching fields. I got to those points rather easily, as academics never posed an issue for me. It's all the social stuff that's my Achilles' heel.

High school dropout and college dropout. Got on with life, and ended up working with government officials, celebrities and a few world leaders. Because of my mutism until my college years, I must have appeared to most as an idiot. That would certainly seem likely given that my educators and administrators begged me to stay in school. Had they simply asked me some basic questions, they would have learned much more than they ever presumed.

I am also a high school dropout, but went on (and on) and ended up with doctorate in microbiology.

Thanks.

It really doesn't feel like that big a deal to me, but I always appreciate a positive response.
