I'm very picky about food, especially meat. I will not eat anything with veins, bones, gristle, skin, or fat. I would almost be a vegetarian except for the fact that I really like some chicken and fish-based meals. My parents used to yell at me for "dissecting" my food -- it was the worst when the meat had any sort of marbling in it, because I'd carve it up painstakingly to remove anything that looked remotely like a bit of fat!

I also despised macaroni and cheese as a kid -- people would say, "but EVERY kid LOVES macaroni and cheese!" It was actually just the box stuff I hated, with that nasty slimy fake orange cheese *shudder*. I used to absolutely dread having it for dinner.

Nowadays it's mostly just the meat thing that gets to me, but I also HATE HATE HATE mayo. Ugh! I guess I have a texture aversion to very slimy foods.

Liver- cannot swallow the stuff! <heave>
Raw beets- I can eat these, but they make my mouth very sore inside
Fresh Pineapple- I love this, but it also makes my mouth feel raw.
Watermelon- just about the only fruit I don't like
Cucumber- I will eat it with sour cream, otherwise, no.
Any organ meats (gizzards, guts, etc), eww.....offal, not food!
Seafood- yuck, tastes like water
Seaweed, ditto
Fish- as a rule, I don't like it. There are exceptions.
Milk makes me sick and I'm allergic to it. Can't handle the taste or texture either.
Peanuts make me feel sick, even if I like them.
Soy, same.
Eggs make me feel sick.

I like avocadoes a lot! Especially the big ones with a smooth, medium green skin, not the alligator pear type.

Oh yeah, fat grossses me out, too. I also dissect eat to exclude the fat. Same for blood, that makes me lose my appetite. Mayo is slimy and mucusy: disgusting!

Food I dislike:

eggs (taste, smell, and texture)
shrimp (only seafood I don't like)
nuts
mashed potatoes (it's a texture thing, I love potatoes any other way)
onions

There are more I don't like, but I'll have to think of them.

OMG, I get aching in my jaw and tingling hot feeling deep in my ears when I eat certain foods!

I am not a picky eater as such, and the list of foods I can't stand to eat is small and mostly due to unpleasant texture. I go through phases of eating the same thing over and over then get sick of them and move on to something else.

I don't mind eating avocadoes, but I can't stand to touch them because they are fatty - I cannot stand to have anything oily or slimy on my skin.

I'm pescatarian - I don't eat red meat and poultry, but I eat fish. This is mostly because I disagree with factory farming and slaughtering methods, but also because I can't stand to touch or eat animal fat.

I LOVE CHEESE! :D I love poultry. Veggies. Fruit. Homemade mac & cheese. Fish/seafood, except mollusks. All kinds of nuts. Sweet potatoes. Mustard. Salty or mildly spicy foods. Decaf tea, coffee, cola. Citrus flavored sweets. Dark chocolate...mmmm, heaven!

I HATE KETCHUP with a passion. Mushrooms. Whole milk.<blecchh> Boxed mac & cheese. White bread and white rice. Mayo. Pickles. Clams, mussels.<gag> Potato chips. "Hot" spicy foods. Cherry and grape flavored sweets. "White" chocolate <--what IS that stuff anyway???

I will TOLERATE (but try to avoid  ) beef and pork. White potatoes. Eggs. Milk chocolate. Low-fat milk. Caffeine. Non-cola-flavored carbonated beverages.

Hey, I made a mistake saying I didn't like beaf. I eat beaf when I eat spagghetti or lasagna (and I LOVE lasagna). It's not like when I eat a pieace of meat. The taste is soften and it doesn't hurt my jaws.

I am really fussy with food, but it's mostly to do with the texture of the food, rather than the taste.

I do not like the taste of peppers. It is very strong, and seems to get in everything.

Things I cannot stand the feeling of are baked beans, peas, mushrooms, aubergines, beetroot, the seeds in tomatoes, avocadoes, mashed potato . . . and many other things. Some of these foods actually make me wretch. I cannot eat anything if there is a pea on my plate.

Hey! I like that idea! That would explain why when I'm having a day at home I stay in bed chatting online and scarcely eat at all, but if I'm going to uni I will eat my lunch by 11 in the morning, even after just eating breakfast!

When I'm on the computer I have a big bottle of water. That keeps my body perfectly happy (till about 8 at night)

My computer used to be in my room, but I now live by myself, so my computer is out in the lounge room. :)
