Go late at night and problem solved. Normally kids are tired then and parents wouldn't be taking their kids to a movie that starts at 9 when they would be cranky and tired and not be able to behave themselves.

And tickets are expensive now so I don't go to movies anymore, I prefer to go to a Redbox or rent on cable or go to a pirated movie website.

Being the only adult alone at a kids movie is not a good idea.
Two possible risks and bolt are very bad.
Risk one people might think you are some kind of pervert hanging around.
Risk two you may put a target on your back as being vulnerable and soft.

You are risking oppressing by conformism.
If you go to a big cinema in a big population centre, not in a neighbourhood setting of known faces, why should any of that stuff happen? You are an anonymous person doing your own thing.

It is hard to imagine anyone would notice you do not have a child

Or that they would care

But you bought a ticket

According to the theater you are not doing anything wrong

I usually go to movies with friends but going to a kids movie by myself is something I would do. I would feel kind of awkward but animation is for all ages imo, not just for kids and if people judge, that's their problem.

I look a lot younger than my age anyways so when I see animated/kids movies, the ticket taker probably doesn't think too much of it. I look older than what the average Joe assumes is the demographic but I have a young look to me.

Blockbuster

Plenty of adults watch kids movies

Some movies are rated r , to keep kids out

Maybe some movies should be rated k, to keep adults out

Thursday the librarian Amanda Myers b***h had the nerve to tell me to pull up your pants or stay out of the kids section

The b***h made it sound like I was raping children

But I was just writing something down and put my backpack on the floor two feet into the children's section

Most cartoons cater to the adult, as well as the kid, audience. Bugs Bunny is a great example.

There’s a lot of adult wit in cartoons which are way over the head of six-year-olds.

I’ve gone to kid movies alone many times. People are too involved with their families to care about you...unless you, say, focus your gaze on one kid.

I wait until they come out on video. There aren't too many movies, child or adult, that are of much interest to me. I like old Disney movies such as "That Darn Cat" and "The Incredible Journey." (Not Homeward Bound, with the animals talking. That's just weird.) The dogs and the Siamese cat told us more about love, companionship and teamwork without uttering a single word.

I never went to the movies by myself but I don't care about movies enough much to go to the movie theater so often. These days I can just bootleg it or wait for the crap to come on DVD xD

Toy Story 4 may have been written more for the parents than the kids.

I had a similar expereince as a 12 year old. Although not an adult, I was the oldest person there who was not a parent. I was watching it because I had seen the previous two films, and with the second film I saw that holiday season, I liked the character. The first film I saw that year was a lesser quality in the series, and needless to say, I did not watch the other installment in theatres when it came out (I was 16). Just in case you were wondering, I got the fourth installment for my birthday the next year and it was unwatchable due to the incompetent people who worked on the lighting.
