Do you take things personally?
Idiots have the nerve to tell me that "you make people uncomfortable with the way you dress!"
That dickhead did not know any crossdressers, just me
He referred to me as "you". He called himself "people". But he does not represent "people"
"People" means two or more
But it sounds like all seven billion
f**k mister redelings

People can be so sh***y sometimes.

The statement "you make people uncomfortable with the way you dress" is correct
And I wrongfully trusted him. Worshipped. Pedestal.
And I thought mister redelings was perfect. And I wanted to be just like him
And as usual I was wrong
The implications are wrong:
everyone makes people uncomfortable with the way they dress
everyone is either comfortable, neither or uncomfortable. You can't guarantee just the first two
discomfort
does not prove someones stupidass "rights" have been violated
more than two people are "uncomfortable" with the way I dress. But blind people are not uncomfortable. Not everyone is uncomfortable with the way I dress
Trump makes people uncomfortable when he is president
Trump affects the whole United States
The only people whose eyeballs I hurt
are the ones that visually see me
Getting back to the question:
It was hard to not take that statement personally
San Diego 2006 contained a lot more openly homophobic precious lil "people", than openly LGBT people.
Mister redelings did not know any other openly LGBT people. (Or very few). He had a lot of friends and family and all that stupid ass BS. He thought they were a representative sample of political stances. But they were all Baptists Republicans
Its like a personal insult whenever someone tries to persuade me to do something based on "people do it all the time" or "people don't like it".
They call themselves "people" and they call me "you"
As if I am not a person
As if they are seven billion people

Some people have been comfortable for so long that they just do not want to consider any other position as being valid except their own. People who have suffered, struggled and been forced to feel like outsiders (like the whole AS community) have more compassion and understanding and a higher tolerance for those who are different to themselves. Not just different in presentation but in substance.
It never fails to surprise and appall me that the Baptist community, so-called followers of Jesus, so often fail to grasp and emulate His teachings of acceptance and love.
You just keep doing your thing and don't let people who want to put you down ruin your happiness. Instead, look for those who will understand and appreciate you.
