I have never owned a TV. I've seen how that stuff gets made, and that's more fun sometimes. Unfortunately, there is a very heavy editorial bias in favour of the sponsors' interests. I have, however, read Jerry Mander's "Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television" and they are really good ones.
Thanks to YouTube, I have watched most of The Big Bang Theory, and was appalled at the technical error in engineering that got by their science expert. The whole thing is almost an infomercial for the various pastimes of the cast, rather than an accurate depiction of geekdom. When has anyone on TV been short of money, had to wait for a computer, or had trouble parking?

The TV keeps me company. I like to watch the news.

I used to watch the medical channel and Animal Planet when I had those channels, as well as the Tennis Channel. Now, if I want to see a match, I go on You Tube. Unfortunately, I haven't seen very many actual matches, just highlight videos. I saw a video rundown of the players competing at the Indian Wells tournament and the pronouncer got nearly every name wrong.

I don't watch TV. I can never find anything that interests me.

I watch 30 hours of TV a week. I usually watch the old classic TV shows.

I watch a fair amount of TV. I tend to watch evening news programmes, drama, comedy, sports (mainly tennis and horse racing), nature shows and documentaries. Here in the UK, we’re lucky to have the BBC who do not show commercials. However, that’s only because they are funded by a license fee that everyone in the UK with a TV has to pay in order to watch their channels and listen to their radio programmes.

It's more or less entirely restricted to quiz programmes and news these days.

I don't watch much. The only thing I watch on my phone that would be on TV is Sword Art Online every once in a while where there's internet to use that won't cut down my data.
