Hi m8,

Are you the predominant mod in this forum?

If you mean am I gobby , then yes I am the gobby MOD , but a lot goes on behind the scenes by other mods that doesn't get seen. I don't deal with reports , banning , official warnings etc , I moderate by being gobby

I don't know what "gobby" is...

Does it have anything to do with:
Quote:
Gobby
An Australian slang term, meaning basically when a bloke is fellated by a shiela. (That means a man gets sucked off by a woman) https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Gobby

Thanx.

If it's obscene he can take it to the adult section.

If its embarrassing to him he can take it to either Adult, or to Members Only.

I am referring to mature philosophical concepts...

If you're not talking about sexual content then why are you talking about "censorship", and "G rating"?

They don't give Ron Jeremy movies triple X ratings because they feature Ron Jeremy giving lectures about Kierkagard, and Sartre.

No , I mean't gobby and not in a fellacious (sic) way. It's British slang usually for a mouthy person. Run off at the mouth etc

Topics which may be existentially challenging or could be triggering...

Overwhelmingly, people have psychological defence mechanisms in the forms of denial, mild dissociation, confirmation bias, etc, when being challenged by...err...challenging ideas...
And for younger people, if you aren't a significant other, there is little chance of influencing them in any direction with more mature concepts...
So I think it highly unlikely that I could affect anyone that isn't primed to think in a certain direction already...

Having said that:
Bottom line is, I am protecting my philosophical arse (yes, pun intended...) by enquiring initially, to placate the Admin gods and those who have torches and pitchforks in their back pockets...

I think a lot...
I am autistic...
It's my job... 8)

In other words...
