I went to school for music. My experience with it has changed over the years.

I used to feel profoundly from it. Now the "dopamine" rush is mostly spent and my interest is more analytical and theory related.

I can still have moments where it stirs the passion, but I lament their scarcity.

Unfortunately, this works a bit like the Heisenberg principle. Musicians listen to music with the opposite hemisphere to those who don't know how it is done.
