Do you feel immature for your age?

I've long been told I am. As someone else said, I feel old in some ways, but still "immature" in others.

I problem come across as reasonably "normal" for my age, but when I deal with people my age in professional or social situations, I definitely fell that I'm making an effort to fake it. It sometimes seems ridiculous how like a caricature most people are, aand I wonder if they're secretly faking it as well. ..but they've probably so internalized their role that it feels natural to them.

Not so much immature as behind. I feel immature in life but not in terms of my person.

Certainly I can be immature But typically I think I've been more mature than expected. One of my cousins said I act like I'm 40, when I was in my early-mid 20's.

It appears to some lil dips**ts that I am immature

Because I am socially awkward and emotionally fragile

I can feel immature, I also feel like I’m growing up every few years, now that I’m 48, going to be 49 this summer, I feel different, like I grown more, I feel wiser than I was before. But adult life can be very very overwhelming.

I would say yes more than no.

I look younger than my age so a lot of people assume that I am and are surprised when they find out my age. I am also legally technically an adult but often feel like a kid, and struggle with adulting as a whole. I'm not sure if I'll ever not feel like a kid. There are times when I would like to think I'm mature, but there are many areas I'm not mature in.

I get called immature for what my interests are, but I personally wouldn't call myself that.

Sometimes. Yes because I'm 23 and still living with my parents, and have never had a serious romantic relationship; No because I'm the only person in my friend group with a driver's license and will soon also be the only person in my friend group working a 9-to-5.

These days, in the US, many people live with their parents even in their 30's. In some form----even if it's living in the basement of the house which their parents own, while paying rent to the parents.

Ways I am mature:

Educational attainment-above average
Work ethic-good
Successful in multiple areas of life, with varied interests
Executive function is quite good now and improving steadily
I am making friends and getting out into the world through my interests (tennis, Toastmasters, church) and loving my activities and the friendship opportunities they provide,

Ways I am immature:

Still only have a part time job and, when I am with my NT peers of equal intelligence, I don't have a career or life calling equal to theirs. None of the activities I am doing presently could ever translate into a career.

I am still nowhere near good enough to be completely independent.

I believe I am too different, too lacking in life experience and too far behind to ever really succeed in the same way normal people do.

No experience in love and dating. I would be forever the friend, if I were ever fortunate enough to be that. I would consider it a good first step. As they say, "It's a good start."

I'm immature for my age. I wear and do whatever I wish. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Emotionally, I'm forever 14. In terms of life experience and exhaustion, I feel about 80.

In which is relevant; I really am child at heart.
It's like I'm still 8 no matter how functioning I'm, no matter how serious I become, no matter the extent of my maturity actually manifests, no matter what achievements I attained and esteems I've earned.

In which isn't truly relevant; something is screwing up my executive function and therefore things that makes one responsible, intentional, competent, regulating, etc.
It was making me tired, frustrated, confused, inconsistent, prone to types of incontinence, overwhelmed, 'sensitive'/'insensitive', etc. A truer definition of immature. I would rather need any treatment or a permanent cure for this -- I know my 'true' EF level, it's just frustratingly muddled.

I am responsible as an adult, but I still like to play, and didn't go through several of the normal growing-up stages. I also look young for my age, and have for most of my life.
