I just had my first look at Judith Martin's "Miss Manners" books on Amazon - thank you for mentioning them! They're wise and a great read. But they cost a fortune! Ah, the library - I can't manage that yet, but soon. :D

Hehe. I thought of a good one, if someone nastily asks "do you have some sort of problem??"
here's what you could retort:

"Yes, I have a problem with the non-believers who are not worthy to join my cult."

NT says: "Oh really?! And what cult would THAT be? (asking in bemused tone with onlookers snickering)"

You: "The Temple of Unrepentant Truth. And only the most faithful are worthy to enter."

NT replies "Umm.... okaaayyy... can I be one of your 'faithful believers'?"

You: "No, you are not ready. Most of the people are not ready for the truth (hesitate dramatically with breath in), but they WILL know the truth in the due course of time. "
[then give an intense glare, turn and walk away]

Hey, if they already think you're batshit weird, then nothing to lose but have a little fun with 'em :lol: :P
