I think I have moments of just being outright paranoid and delusional too.

I once thought my sister's boyfriend was hiding cameras in my bedroom to spy on me so I impusilvely ran away from home.

Now I'm paranoid about the world ending or the US getting destroyed because of Trump. A major war may oe may not happen, but I've been ragefully paranoid about it lately...

I used to hate conservative talk radio.

Then I got a job driving a truck and listened to it constantly, along with classical music on NPR.

Then I started restoring vintage tube radios, discovered shortwave, and now scan the far-flung airwaves on my 1938 Airline six-tube receiver and don't listen to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, or the rest any more. Not when I can listen to Glenn Hauser's World of Radio out of Okeechobee, Florida, on WRMI.

Obsessions come and go. I find it helpful to remember that some are just disordered. For example, sudden infatuations with individual girls...not abnormal but irrational. But at least those are more normal than an infatuation with Rush Limbaugh!

Revenge: I wanted to respond to you using quote, but my phone isn't working properly. I just wanted to say as someone who shares politics with you as an SI (or an OCD in your case) it's totally normal to fret about the current administration. Alot of NTs feel the same as you do about him and his whole cabinet. W/o turning this into a politics thread though, Mona's right that some SIs have both positive and negative sides. Politics both causes me anger and anxiety sometimes, but also hope, happiness and a strong sense of motivation and mission on the other hand. Basically just don't let it consume you and if possible develop other interests if you don't already have some.

I guess you guys are right. People have a right tp be upset about the way things are going in the world right now. It's really not such a strange thing to be so focused on it right now, but I need to try and not let it consume me.

I wish I could drive a truck on the open highway....

I like to keep up with what is going on in the world, but sometimes it gets depressing. When that happens, I watch tennis or cat videos instead.

Because it would be fun.....

I like watching videos of driving on the Great Plains.
