Haha Sanity, we have you cornered!!

The night was dark as the leaves rustled
beneath Harry's feet. He walks slowly
as his breath expells and evaporates
life waters last breath and ices final death.

Snap! a twig is broke and a penguin walks
towards him. It looks deeply into his eyes
as Harry ponders why penguins would
be in the dark forest.

Nieve of penguins Harry proceeds forward
and Avada kadabra! is heard at the distance.
Being that Harry is much quicker than most
witches he ducks and avoids the red beam
from someones wand.

A dark cloaked figure with a rounded top
mask and gizmo and gadgets that create
a heavy breathing like someone on a
respirator and James Earl's voice on steroids.

Hummmmmvvvvv! Hmmmmmvvvvv!
So we meet at last! "Excuse me"
exclaims Harry? Should I know you?

Yes, Harry I am to kill you!

I forgot this. Who's a Snape fan?

Believe it or not Snape would have been
#2 on my favorite list. It is the attagonist
that often saves the hero.

Intergrity and vindictiveness go hand and
hand with Snape. This is why I respect him
but wouldn't want him as a teacher! Too
opinionated!

I love Snape, especially in the movies. Alan Rickman adds to the character sympathy and a touch of mental illness that the book didn't express. I also love that he started off by everyone thinking that he was just sooo evil, and yet he keeps redeeming himself. My favorite Snape bit is when he sees Lupin-Werewolf and throws himself between Harry, Ron, and hermione and Lupin-Werewolf.

Snape is my 4th favorite character at this point. First is Hagrid, second is Hermione from the books(not the movies), third is Dumbledore.

Like I said, Snape may be vindictive,
but has good integrity! Thanks Mockingbird
for validating his(snapes) character!

/me puts Death Checkmark next to Sirius' name (haven't read the books but love the movies).

I voted for Lupin. He just seems so nice and calm and humble enough to say the things he couldn't do, but brilliant nevertheless.

And, YES, Lupin's werewolf looked liked a chihuahua on steroids. The graphic didn't look like he was supposed to go down on all fours either, even though he did (his all-fours gait was very awkward). His limbs were incredibly gangly, too. He sucked big time.

PS- Looking forward to next movie release. It's still November isn't it???

How can you like Harry Potter when youve not red the books? The films soil the good name of JK Rowling!! !

Well, i gess the Azkaban film was ok.

Snape is my next fav character after Sirius.

I'm not the biggest Harry Potter fan or anything but I'd have to go with Sirius, he seemed powerful and oddly I found his character interesting as how they worked it out in the Prisoner of Azkaban as far as his relationship to Harry Potter. Plus I'm not a big werewolf fan anyways.

Want to read a good series about wizards? Try Ursula Le Guin's Earthsea series, Terry Pratchett's Rincewind stuff, Raymond E. Fiest's Magican series, Ed Greenwood's Elminster stuff, Stephen Lawhead's Pendragon Cycle, and numerous other REAL books.

That's not even including the numerous great fantasy series' that aren't wizard focused- Isobelle Carmody's Obernewtyn Chronicles, Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain, R.A. Salvatore's many excellent Drizzt series', Terry Brooks' many works, The Conan books, C.S. Lewis' Narnia, a little guy called Tolkien and some little book he wrote, and many more...

Try reading the classics (many of which are available for free online)- lots of great fantasy there! The Iliad, The Odyssey, The Aeneid, Beowulf, Shakespeare, HG Wells, Jules Verne, Edgar Allen Poe, and many many more...

All that barely scratches the surface.

Want to read the exact same thing as Harry Potter, except with a female protagonist, and published many years earlier? Try the Worst Witch.

Heck- read Enid Blyton, read A.A Milne, read Lewis Carrol, Charles Dickens, Arthur Conan Doyle, Dr Seuss... Goodness! Read the various plots and stories from The Elder Scrolls, Warcraft, Baldur's Gate, and other VIDEO GAMES.

Read the back of a milk carton! Read your toilet paper! Read between the lines of Jean Claude Van Damme's boot in that scene at the beginning of Time Cop! Read a newspaper! Read your horoscope! Read someone's palm! Read the bit of paper inside a CD cover! READ THE BIBLE!

...But for godssakes people, get over that excrement that is Harry frikking overrated rip-off Potter!

Your insulting some of my favorite books AGAIN. OVERRATED RIP-OFF??????? And the only way Harry Potter's like the Worst Witch is the school thing. I tried reading The Hobbit but couldn't get past the 1st page. Sorry Tolkien fans. And since when can you read toilet paper?
