Meltdowns are always due to sensory issues?

Yep, did that through first year of uni: couldn’t say no to offers of socialising due to fear of ostracism from high school, so I just drank diesel (half lager, half cider, black currant cordial and two shots of vodka all together) until I was too out of it for the sensory overload of pubs & clubs to register...
Also wasted several years of my life blanking out the world with near 24/7 cannabis smoking: although that did exacerbate sensory issues and social anxiety to the extent where I became a yellow-tinged recluse, with meltdowns occurring twice weekly or more often.
(In retrospect reading right-wing newspapers online every day didn’t help with the stress->meltdown cycle either)
