I think high achievement and high intellect are not mutually inclusive things . With an illness like schizophrenia it is not so much whether someone has high or low intelligence that elevates the risk of a psychotic breakdown , but deviation from the average intelligence of the family. https://medicalxpress.com/news/2016-03- ... amily.html

Mental breakdowns and scitzophrenia are different. I will take a look at the link.
The link implies that individuals from families where the individual has a lower intelligence then the families average intellignece have a greater chance of having scitzophrenia.

I was implying that many of the most intelligent people seem to be far more prone to getting a mental breakdown then those who are of average intelligence.
Sorry. I should have given more details in my train of thought. I was thinking about the mental issues in regards to the brilliantly minded individuals who found themselves in a mental hospital due to a breakdown.
