Not if you go dressed up as a clown. :clown:

If you enjoy theme parks, go by yourself and enjoy it. Don't worry about what other people think.

Maybe maybe I'd actually do that. :jester: :joker: :jocolor:

Seriously.
There are actual times I'd literally put a costume complete with make up (whether it's in or out of season/holiday) and go in public places with it on that particular day.
Or on a job when I have to, running errands on the current events' costume. I haven't done it in clown tho.

I don't think it's pointless but it's certainly way more fun for me to go to a theme park with friends or a girlfriend.

I think going to the movie theater alone is about the same as going with people though because you can't interact for most of it.

I’m the weirdo who wouldn’t think twice about going to an amusement park alone, if I actually enjoyed the rides, but I hate roller coasters, spinning rides, and anything that drops you or makes you feel like you’re falling, which means I’d be lucky to find even one or two rides I’d actually go on at any given amusement park. For me, it’s pointless to go alone because I don’t get any enjoyment myself, I just get vicarious enjoyment from everyone else. Really, I think my problem is that amusement parks are designed for thrill-seekers and I’m about as opposite that as one can get.

Yes, because about three quarters of amusement park rides I cannot ride on.

The only thing better than one person alone dressed up as a clown is several people, all alone, dressed as clowns. :clown:

I do enjoy theme parks, but I live far away from any theme parks and even if I drive there, I won't know what routes to follow in order to get to them.

It is not pointless to go on your own, but it isn't much fun going on your own. You'll have nobody to talk to whilst in line for the rides, and you'll have to sit next to strangers on every ride, and if you do come over unwell you'll feel lonely and vulnerable. I wouldn't want to go on my own either. I just wouldn't feel right.

I'm happy to see a movie on my own or go to a theme park. There's a mobile fun device called a phone which I wile away the time while queuing up.

I've actually done this, and honestly it's not the same, but not worse [but that's just me]. Not to sound depressing, but most of the people I've known over the years [even most of my family] make me feel more lonely than I usually do when I'm actually alone. NT's, n'est pas...? After one of my dogs passed away a few years ago, I was mourning really hardcore for a month or so, then forced myself to take my other dog on a daytrip to a place I'd visited with my mother the previous autumn. I wasn't sure if I would feel any better about myself, but I had a really good time going it alone [without humans, leastways]. I've also gone to a theme park by myself, when schools were back in session [much shorter queue lines], and thoroughly enjoyed it, just as much as with family/friend[s]. Honestly, I'm the type who will talk to just about anyone in a public setting, especially when waiting with others in a line [queue] or for transportation, etc. but I still recommend it if there are other things you enjoy about being at the particular park.

Not any more pointless than going in a group

Besides groups sometimes get fragmented

the beauty of going alone is you are on your own schedule or lack thereof.
