While taking a shower or similar mildness tasks, I will often imagine myself having a conversation with someone where I will explain something to them something that I find interesting. This day-dream will include me going into great technical detail about how something works, who the characters in a story are, etc. I'm not imagining a conversation, instead its a lecture I'm giving to an imaginary person who just keeps nodding, smiling, and asking for more details.
I bring this up because, as I look more closely at it, it bothers me. I'm not imagining a real conversation, with back-and-forth. I'm not explaining why the thing is interesting, why I find it so interesting, or why it should matter to the imaginary listener. I'm just organizing the facts in my head and conveying them.
And it makes me ever so happy to imagine doing so.
Sometimes my sister will be nice to me and let me talk to her about an interest of mine. I have to remind myself to not be frustrated that she will not quietly listen to me all the time....

Every activity I do, I start it then finish it. Except reading. I read in 25 minute bursts cos I learnt that method on a retreat. If it's something that takes hours, it gets in the way of eating. If it's something that takes minutes, it can sometimes mean that I'm 'ready for lunch' at half past 10 in the morning.
I'd rather be interested in things than people. Learning things is better than being a gossip.
I have about 8 activities/interests now. I used to only have 1 at a time.
