I just got my weighted blanket a few days ago, and it's been fantastic. It's been easier to get up in the morning because I sleep more soundly. Also, I got under it when I was feeling out-of-control about a paper, and it really helped.

Fascinating.
I had no idea this was related to AS. I drive my husband crazy insisting the house be cold at night so I'll be comfortable under my heavy blankets, year round. If not for this thread, I would NEVER have made a connection. I also like to sleep on hard surfaces.

When I was a child I loved to go to my grandmother's house because the blankets she had were knitted...100% cotton...and heavy...I always slept so well there because of it...I continued to buy them for years and that was the only way I could sleep...They're rather cheap at Wal-Mart, etc...they are great...Not sure that the more expensive ones are needed...It's not like a comforter at all, they are much heavier, especially if you get a large one and fold...
