Depends.
Not generally speaking.
So far, only those I've met personally.
Also, as far as with all autistics I've met -- I don't end up liking all of them. Only some.
Little brothers and sisters alike at best. No equals yet.
All of them are outside my group age -- eldest are no more than 5 years younger than me.
And all of them are, say, level 2 support. Nothing that actually resembles Aspergers.
Online?
The closest online friends of mine -- they'd relate to traits of BAP, introverted, scholarly or artistic or both, and plenty of mental health talks.
None of them are actually in the spectrum.
None are self diagnosed nor truly considered themselves to be autistic -- except they're not really NT, more like allistic something.
I know a person who actually is fond and fascinated with the people in the spectrum in general, and explicitly told me the favorite cases this person always want to meet are autistics.
A professional. It's not the same.
This person would've wanted to be in forums such as these, but is too intimidated to join.
