Animals also lie. Birds will pretend to be injured to lure predators away from their young. Squirrels may re-bury their nuts more than once, according to their guess at who has been watching. Insects pretend to be poisonous without making the icky stuff themselves.
However, there is so much lying going on now that the "Boy who cried Wolf" parable applies to our whole society.

Exactly This . the Snowball Effect .

Most of the Time . Telling the Truth is the Definate Only Option . When Lie-ing You Can Find Yourself Upholding a Facade or Having to Make Up More Un-Truths to Uphold Position of the Original Lie . Long Winded Effort
