I don't like the humid and hot weather along with summer. But I enjoy the break from college.

I not only dislike the heat intensely (part of why I live in northern Idaho!!) but I also can't stand the very bright sunshine. It gives me a splitting headache and makes me feel nauseous. Our climate is very moderate when it comes to summer (and winter doesn't bother me) but there is still a month or two of it...

I know that I would hate to live in Florida!

I don't bear the heat very well. I find, for me, summer's only redeeming quality is MY BIRTHDAY. If I didn't have an August birthday, I would prefer to skip summer altogether.

However, I don't like winter for the most part because I really hate walking on icy/snowy surfaces because I fear falling. And I end up walking so damn slow over them. I look ridiculous! But I don't really mind the cold in winter. I do wish winter had more sunny days though. A lot of gray days in a row gets me down.

I much prefer fall and spring. However, in St. Louis, we get VERY little spring. Fall is a bit more lengthy though. And the autumn leaves can be beautiful.

1.winter
2.autumn (fall)
3.spring
4.summer

It's 100 degrees here again today.

You can only take so much off in summer, but you can always add another layer in winter.

I like Fall best.

I'm not a big fan of summer. Where I live, in the deep south, the heat and humidity are brutal. It's the time of year I prefer to stay indoors in the air condtioning. During the summer, I like staying in all day on my PC, ham radio, or listening to some music.

The only times one can be out around here are early morning or early evening, the rest of the day, forget it.

During part of my childhood, I liked summertime because I could spend my days doing the things I liked doing and since school was out, I didn't have to deal with the other kids I didn't like going to school with. When my parents got on their stupid swimming kick I posted about before, I began to like summer less and less.

Oh well.

I really enjoy summer back homw in New England, but I have to agree with PrisonerSix about summer down here, the Heat and the Humidity are too much.
Down hereI like Spring and Fall due to the fact that the weather is much more bearable.

That's what I say. 'Course, you can only put so many layers on before you're immobilized. Plus, rain is so much easier to drive in than snow is. And you don't need a place to pile it when you shovel it. So my vote is summer.

I don't dislike it but I like winter better. You are not going to find alot of people like me. I love snow, I love the serenity, I love the crisp cold air, the lack of stink, sweat and bugs. I love winter!! Another reason for my namesake...

I have the same order of preference as you.

I dislike summer because of the heat and the sun, most of all. I have an aversion to too much light and I'm heat sensitive. Garbage and smoke and pollution smell worse. That, and I like cloudy days and rain.

I lived near San Francisco for the first 15 years of my life, and have been in Utah, Idaho and Colorado for the remaining 26 years. I still miss the cool wet climate on the coast, and I hate the hot, dry summers in all the semi-desert places I've lived as an adult. But these days the Bay Area is WAY too crowded and expensive, so now I tell people that I'm going to move to the Oregon coast when I grow up. Now if I could just figure out how you tell when you're grown up....

Well, thankfully, we haven't had too many (if any) days so far that the temperature reaches into the triple digits Farenheit. ;) I'm not really a summer person, but our winters are mild-no snow. It rains and there's ice on the rooftops in the morning and it's really pretty. I like rainy weather, somewhere between 50 and 75 degrees Farenheit, so that is just a few degrees warmer than winter here.

Eh, I could either go for cool, damp costal climate or dry, little humidity climate (like Arizona). Though the last time I was in Arizona, it was triple digits in the beginning of February, so it was quite warm. I like weather from November through April here, which is kind of autumn/winter, winter and winter/spring.

For me, it's a bit of both. I loathe being cold - I get more cranky and irritable than usual in the winter, plus I just can't get warm no matter what I do (poor circulation). I also hate having to trudge through feet of snow or slip and slide on treacherous ice to get anywhere. On the other hand, it's too freakin' humid here, and combined with heat and sun, it becomes unbearable (especially when I'm forced to wait on roasting train platforms every day before work). The humidity turns most summer days into "bad hair days", I feel sweaty and disgusting even when I've just showered, and I have to endure other people's unbathed, sweaty stench on crowded trains, which really turns my stomach...
