What I though you meant was: people who are "normal" often learn quicker and therefore might refuse to study a subject deeper. Many of us on the other hand have to focus more on the fundamentals before we learn something. "Normal" people often refuse to do this.

Yes, that is the situation.  Why do you see it as a problem?

I want an explanation but I just don't understand. I only told you how I was told to think about it.
I gave you an understandable explanation; whose fault is it if you choose to not understand?
your fault. you need to explain in a better way.
There is no problem with "generalization"; some people are good at it, and some are not.  That is just how it is.  So when in doubt about how to use a coffee maker, read the directions.

People with disabilities might have difficulty "generalizing" in the sense of how you used the term "generalizing."

This is why hands-on therapy is so useful for people with disabilities. They might take a little longer to "get it." But, through proper instruction, they frequently do "get it" eventually.

There is a problem, amongst many people, with "patience" when it comes to the learning of people with disabilities. Like I said, it might take a little longer----but the motivated disabled individual often, eventually, "gets it," and might "get it" even more than a "normal" person because of the considerable effort expended by them.

For some of us high-functioning types, ASDs are just different ways of functioning and generalizations are easy.  For those who are not so high functioning, ASDs are disabilities and instruction books are available.
