They are not saying autistic people are more likely to get alzheimers although i believe that may be true, but this is quite good news as new alzheimers drugs developed may work with autism in the future.

I tried to mitigate the triggering elements of these types of posts by using a question mark in the title or just having a bland title such as “Autism and bad disease”. Obviously that was not enough to solve the issue. I started this thread in the wrongplanet.net discussion section to come up with a solution to this issue.

I think a few years ago a thread on autism and Alzheimer's got locked and the mods said we weren't allowed to link the two or something. I've tried looking for the thread but I can't find it - it's like looking for a needle in a haystack here.
