I always wanted to run away to the veldt and live with the wild meerkats. Like Grizzly Adams. I wanted to see if I could get the meerkats to accept me as one of their own. Not just see me as something to sit on, but actually accept me as one of their own. People do keep them as pets in some countries (they're illegal in the so called land of the "free") but people who do have them say they are VERY sweet and affectionate with their owners.

I plan to move to South Africa and work at a meerkat rehabber as soon as I finish vet school. Lady who runs it said she'd give me a job right away anytime if I can find a way to get there. I think I'd rather have my vet license first so I don't get stuck in a janitor position again expecting something else like the last time I was told I would receive training as a vet assistant. Nope, got training as a janitor and when I realized what was going on, quit, went home and seriously considered unaliveing myself and did not eat for 3 days.. and did not tell anyone about my plans to unalivie myself. My mom got me the job...but she should have been specific. She's too scared of confrontation to be specific. She refuses to accept I have selective mutism and dosen't understand I need therapy and help. I can seek help for other people, just not myself. I could not call 911 for myself but my mom tries to gaslight me about that. But anyway, at least go there with vet license and just go elsewhere if she tries to make me be a janitor or office worker.
