You have a safe home here.
I am socially and emotionally ret*d. Those are not value judgements, they are true, actual facts. Anyone who argues with me about that is simply wrong. We can be very advanced in some ways and completely stunted in others. That is the definition of a developmental disability. That is a big part of what Autism is.

I don't consider myself as "socially ret*d", but I don't have a problem with other people using the term for themselves as long as they don't call me a social ret*d or the whole autistic community.

I'm quite happy to be called mathematically ret*d though.

I'd stop being "socially and emotionally ret*d" or worse, flaky, incomprehensible and unreliable if I just stop being mentally tired and overwhelmed with unprocessed stuff, burnt out and imbalanced with whatever bodily oddity.

Meaning, regardless of outcome, find a way to take care of yourself first at least.

The closest thing I'd be a 'ret*d' of is related to words -- something utterly unavoidable. Yet it's also something I don't mind.
But I don't sound or seem to write like one, do I??
