Yup. Generally when I am anxious about something, or in the middle of a crowd, all talking at once, or when I am hormonal or pre-menstrual. (I guess it all boils down to anxiety and / or chemicals.)

My social anxiety/depression was a big part of my AS, if not all of it, so I'm hardly As-like any more since I'm taking an antidepressant. However, I'm more like that now that I've been off it for almost 3 days... but I'm still way less AS-like than I was before!

WOW, my personality runs the gamut. From seemingly dumb to almost an encyclopedic genius, from an apathetic introvert to an apparent extrovert.

My boys vary depending on their anxiety levels / energy levels.

When they are tired or anxious or stressed, their Aspie traits are stronger.

When they're relaxed and happy, they're unique personalities shine.

You realise this could be taken the wrong way, don't you? Are you saying that when they have strong Aspie traits, this negates "unique personalities". Because if that is the case, I disagree.

Autism and aspergers are both very affected by NT society and environment,so traits can get worse, seem better or not change depending on what is going on at the time.

and yes.
My functioning depends on complex ever-shifting blend of environmental factors (both internal and external), of which I'm more or less aware/conscious (some problems & their causes are much easier to spot/pin down/connect/name than others).
