I'm kind of jealous. I've thought about taking a class in CAD, just to get a chance to play with it. I'd have to build a dedicated machine to run it (my apps don't have the graphics and storage capability, although the have hot processors), and I'd like to play with it first.

I've wondered if it would be a good career path and what really working with it 9-5 is like.

ashkelon, I will tell you straight off that the introductory classes will probably be the most boring things you might have ever done. If you presevere to more advanced classes (that is, 3d modeling) things get more fun and exciting.

I honestly don't know what it would be like 9-5 b/c I have never done any jobs related to it, except as my senoir project. And I barely did anything even then.

You don't need a advanced setup or rig to run the programs. infact, Rhino is designed to run on orindary windows computers.

The program tends to make more sense after doing the tuitorials or taking a class.

If you don't like this one, look for truespace/freespace (I forget which one it is) and see if you like it better.

I can relate to playing games! but alot of that stuff about C and objectives is over my head. I would love it if someone could teach me how to do movie making on my computer.

I love my laptop. I do WP Forum (of course) and WP chat and chat on #asperger and on rare occasions #autism and do Yahoo IM sometimes. I surf and look up and collect info on various subjects, write my poetry on my comp, mess around with Paint Shop and photo editors and then post photos on my photoblog. Oh, and check e-mail. Nothing terribly fancy.

I am good at computers. I can do games, chatrooms, forums. Also I can do database.
