GOT ME! I just call it a stim because it is in line with what everyone else calls a stim. I guess the psychiatric industry does the same.

So basically repetitive motion done seemingly habitually, but not, that is controllable. It starts out automatically though. In a way, it is almost like breathing in that breathing just happens, but can be controlled. ***PERSONALLY*** I would probably call such a thing, like stimming, that ISN'T controllable either a tic or seizure, depending on duration.
