It sometimes feels like I'm playing the game of life on a difficulty setting different from everyone else. I have a different thought process, I have a more creative mind, and at the end of the day I'm literally, as the kids say, built different, and that's fine. Is it difficult at times, especially to get people to understand me? Abso-effing-lutely. Is it rough to deal with the general public on a regular basis? You know it. It's got its moments, but when it has its good moments, those moments last a lifetime...and unfortunately the inverse can be said as well. When it has its bad moments, those can also last a lifetime (though I am trying to work on that, shoutout therapy).
To sum it all up, living with my autism can be both a blessing and a curse, and I'm making the best of both sides.
