My mother was a teacher (she taught High School Freshman (Year 9) Earth Science). For whatever reason the class was talking about life in different parts of the world, and one girl actually asked this question:

"If Japanese people can't speak English, then how can they think?"

(Seeing as how most Aspies think in images instead of words, it seems almost a very strange question to even ask.)

Ahh dear, these are great! I've heard a few corkers in my time, including my history teacher who insisted on describing Venice as the iron fist in the velvet glove, yes, the open fronted wedding cake ship! (I spent much of history trying to contain my hysterics: no one else even batted an eyelid!) However, the three that for me stand out:

* At 3 in the morning on a church sleepover a very tired looking me offered a packet of peach gum to her friends with the announcement "do you want some cheach pooing gum?". It took a while to live THAT one down!

* On the phone with a rather dim witted young 'lady': "I know everything: he told me" "Er, right... but you don't know what he DIDN'T tell you!" "Yes I do"

And finally, best of all, an actual conversation occuring between my then approximately 9 year old sister and my own mum!

* "Mum, what kind of animals do they have at the zoo?" "Whales..." - Don't as me WHAT she was thinking?! Actually, on reflection she was thinking of seals! Lol!

PMSL!

I go to summer school with a couple of my friends, and my friend told me today that in her class, someone asked if the Men In Black really existed in all seriousness.

That was(the dumbest thing ever heard) until the next year when Dan Quail was elected the vice president and things took a TURN.

I always find so much juicy possibility when someone asks the (apparently) rhetorical question, "How stupid do you think I am???"

So many responses it's almost overwhelming! Muahahahaha. Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Well, there was Project Majestic (aka. Majestic 12) and then there's the unnamed govenment agency dedicated to deal with all possible extraterrestrial phenomena, listed only on Senate appropriatons records as "The Aviary".

Hehe. And I know damn well that's a rhetorical question. I just prefer to answer it.
