picket line. if not an actual militant line, at least a prescence. leaflets etc.

Put quite simply, because it falls under the apparent label as "for your own good" and once people decide that they are doing something for a person's own good, they can justify anything.

am think the reason why all the students there [not just aspergans] do not riot might be to do with not wanting to be shocked again,or have some other punishment forced on them.
am listened to one of the videos posted-the aspiesforfreedom one,with one persons' voiceover [the rest were overloading/too many sounds],the person says about the way the students are treated compared to prisoners-if they allowed prisoners to be shocked in the same way,there would be international trouble over it, and the human rights people would be there to treat them like victims of some major crime.
am do not understand how they can treat innocent complex needs students worse than murderers,even multiple murdering terrorists get it easier and have more human rights.
what about if leaflets explaining all about what is going on at the JRC were made up so WPers/anyone from around the world can print them off and give them to people? am wonder if a lot of people will know about the JRC apart from those with internet.

It seems there's a petition for everything these days from demanding people to make more cartoon episodes to getting a new video game made (though I think those are petty)
At least this petition would be towards a good cause, but then again it sounds like the lazy way to get things done(as we call it armchair activism). If you really want things to change you gotta be willing to protest(I am more for peaceful protest x: ) and fight(figuratively) for the cause, not just sign your e-mail to a list of names :/
