However, I just can't help feeling like I can't concentrate on anything for an extended period of time because people keep interrupting me every few minutes to as me to do something. This happened to me today. It led to me having an angry outburst with my family that I still haven't fully gotten over. I've been taking deep breaths and gently massaging my stomach in bed for about 10 minutes to destress. I'm wondering if I should be on some kind of med to make me not feel irritated and stressed out, and sometimes anxious. I really don't want to get hooked on pills, but I just wonder if maybe I need something to regulate my stress. I'm going to be talking to my social worker about these outbursts to see what he says. :(

Had these issues too. I feel that it is a double edged situation. Have tried things to enhance my energy,in order to handle extra stress , coffee types of things , even chocolate coated coffee beans . Or nootropics . But my Doctor , wish me to take downers , like lorazepam .or Ativan Which works in a different way. And yes am scared of addictions too.
So I might take a few days off, everyso often. If I get worried about it. But being aware of possible addictiveness of drugs, Is usually a good indicator , that you might be aware enough to avoid the addiction. And they can give you tiny dosages, or you can try more natural means. Like from a healthfood or vitamin store . A amino acid called Theanine
might be tried, my dose I use is 200 mgs per dose. but you maybe be more sensative , so maybe a lower dosage.,might be good for someone else. Or higher, ? I have used up to 400 mg to help sleep at night. Another amino acid that is in Turkey, and things like that is called Tyrptophan. can be bought at those same stores. but stronger and better for sleep.
Some people even use coffee and theanine together ...Just a suggestion .

I like the suggestions, but wouldn't things like coffee hype me up even more? I already drink one v8 energy drink a day. I don't normally have trouble sleeping, unless I'm having an anxiety attack. Can you please elaborate on what theamine is and what it does? I am going to be talking to my social worker tomorrow about my anxiety and ways to reduce my overstimulation and stress. This isn't the kind of stress that makes me sick though. That kind of stress makes gives me a cough, mild aches, sneezing, and congestion. This kind is of stress is just more me feeling tired and annoyed, but not sick. I try really hard to avoid being overwhelmed and over tired because it lead to a half ass suicide attempt roughly 2 and 1/2 years ago. That's why I want to take extra care of my mental health.
