Because I do.
People always thought that a person uses their hands to underline concepts that are weaker and less thought-through, but recently, there was a study that disagreed with this. It showed that people use their hands when they speak about things that are very strong in their minds, either emotionally or theoretically strong. How much one uses the hands has also something to do with what language they speak, the better they know it, the more they use their hands.
And women are said to move their hands a lot more than men.
I've heard this too. It reminds me of the virtual reality gloves in movies etc. where the person moves objects and ideas around in virtual space except we are re-arranging memories and ideas in inner space.
XP people always say I'm dramatic. My hands flail all over the place and I put on pseudo-tableauxs when telling a story or conveying a thought. My legs also flap around like a 1920's flapper...lolz
Anyone watch Americas Next Top Model? It's one of the things I've noticed about Heather (the AS model), shes very animated. It's a relief to see what it looks like. Somehow it's not so strange when you can see someone else with similar traits.
