Yes, I often think people are accusing a person of trolling, just because they don´t like the opinion of the person, they accuse of trolling.

Actually, it's a fishing reference. Trolling for fish is when you drag your baited line behind a slow-moving boat (as opposed to casting from a stationary boat and then reeling in the line). But when I was first experimenting online -- at a time when my understanding of what was happening was limited to "I type words and words come back," not necessarily attached to any concept of communication -- I am sure I often looked like I was trolling.

I sometimes troll a little. It can add a little excitement to an otherwise drab day. It's actually quite the intellectual exercise, especially for a person with Asperger's syndrome, to adopt a persona so different from their normal one. The lowest denominator of trolls just tries to make a scene and get a rise out of people; I don't normally do that kind of trolling.

Their is a site I;ve been thinking about trolling on for quite a while now called "AS partners" on delphi. Basically it's a bunch of women that are/were in relationships with aspies. The general consesus of the site is that it's all the AS husband's fault their relationships failed. Meanwhile they're too stupid and disillusioned to realize that "it takes two to tango". Some of them are on crusades to keep women away from aspies!

I was thinking about going on their and posing an NT wife married to an AS husband, I'll pretend Im going there for "support" but the minute one of them starts expressing their views and spewing their hatred, I am going to purposely disagree with them and basically tell them ( in the nicest way possible, but hostile enough to arouse them :twisted: ) what stupid conceited b*****s they are. I think I might do it soon i can't wait.

I think anyone with AS who's seen that forum wants to do that. I personally, don't have the time to deal with a million angry divorced women. I say, if you have the time, troll like you've never trolled before.

I do troll in the sense that I want responses to a topic. I listen to what is being written, and from common "archtypes" that I see repeated again and again I might make a thread on it. I don't go for starting fights, but I do enjoy making popular threads.

In a sense, everyone who posts is a troll. . . .

i never have deliberately (which you may or may not believe). been tempted to troll specific individuals, though, just to watch them shriek, and spout even more nonsense than usual.

i have to say that the idea does appeal to me, being an absolute cow. but i loathe getting told off...
