I've always associated numbers, days, letters and countries with colours.
With countries I thought I was linking them to the colour of their flags but that wouldn't
explain why I see Russia as green or Japan as purple !
I discovered about Synesthesia just by seeing an article on it a couple of years ago.
I mentioned it to someone recently and they said 'Are you getting treatment for it ?' :?

yeah, I can't believe the arrogance. Who is to say that we are the natural thought process of thinking in pictures and colors whereas thinking in words is LEARNED behavior. What did babies think in before they learned language?

I associate "colours" with other "ou" words such as "your", "tour", "soup du jour", etc.

These are not associations I have made up to memorize numbers. Its just the color I see when I think of those numbers since I was very young...

This is very close to my system, except I definitely see 5 as a light brown, 6 as dark green, 7 as dark brown, 8 as light green and 9 as orange.

Also, I imagine A and S as red, B as light blue, C and O as light yellow, D as a slightly darker yellow, E as dark blue, F as violet, G and K as dark brown, H as grey, I and Q as white, L and T as black, M and R as dark green, N and P as light green, U as light brown, V and Y as beige and X and Z as black.

hmmm. sometimes i feel words have colors, but not always the SAME color, so maybe i am not really associating the word to the color... ?

but numbers? never black. i can not think of a single black number, but lots of words can be black... i tried not to loook at other peoples lists, so i will check after i write mine down...

0 white
1 yellow
2 green
3
4 dark blue
5 red
6 orange
7 yellow
8 purple
9 brown

I spell "grey" with an "e" instead of with an "a" because "grey" looks like the color.
