Obsessions
As a kid I was obsessed with old pennies, tmnt and rocks.
Later, as an adolescent, I was obsessed with Batman (still am), The X-Files (you should have seen my room at one point, the walls were covered in newspaper/magazine clippings), the art of changing certain words into other words, & the game Monopoly (used to play it against myself all the time) . . .
Now? Batman (but particularly Batman slash), Polio, Aspergers, ADD, synaesthesia, soundtracks, musical instruments (in particular, any that have to do with the French horn - my instrument), brain damage, art/drawing, writing . . . the list goes on. ![]()

Ok, list time! There's one for a start.
I can't watch a DVD without watching all the extras first.
I apply my shower products in a certain order, otherwise I have to shower again.
If I like a song, I have to buy every format of it that I can find, plus the sheet music to go with it.
I own manuals for WW2 military vehicles, but only for Bedford, Chevrolet and Ford. I have to have each one produced for each model, every edition printed, they have to be organised in date order, followed by function, eg Driver's Manual, Workshop Manual. Then when I have read each of them, despite some of them being the same all the way through, but the date is three months later than the previous. Thus my mechanical knowledge is limited to 28hp straight sixes and the V8.
If a song comes into my head, I have to write it down, no matter what I am doing, then date, sign and file it. 207 and counting so far...
I can't leave the house on a Saturday night unless I am going to my local pizza take-away, where one of my circle of friends works. And then I can only go out if I have showered, and am wearing a shirt.
I have to correct people on facts or repeat what they have just said, only with greater detail.
Music and books are alphabetically, then chronologically organised. Same with books.
I cannot leave for work on a Friday if I haven't had a Fish Finger, waffle and cheese sandwich. Used to be a habit, but realised the other day that I couldn't leave without making one, resulting in my late arrival at work.
Buying Scrubs on DVD, despite it being repeated on up to four channels, and still watching the repeats on TV.
Have to own the complete scripts for my favourite TV shows. And know them off by heart, down to they way lines have been spoken. Despite this, I don't have any fluency in my own speech, nor any tones other than the usual one.
If I see someone I recognise in a film, I have see all of the films they are so I can follow their progression as an actor.
Listening to a song on repeat, all day if there weren't books to read, maps to look over, jokes to understand, new worlds to discover.
Cryptozoology. I love it.
DC Comic characters that were created during/before Silver Age.
My dogs and their behaviour.
Using the same parking spaces, sometimes going somewhere else until mine is free again. This can use up an entire day over five minute task. Fortunately my head is full of music to keep everything going nicely.
You did ask ![]()
