Kind of, but not as much.

It's a lot easier to get my thoughts out in typing than by speaking.

UK posts sometimes cause me to imagine the different accents.

I post like I think and I talk like I think...that is whay I seldom use proper punctuation...

...except in real life I am much more repetative in my speech..i will reiterate an idea a few more times than necc. when trying to get a point across to someone... :? ....I will say a sentence one way and then give the exact same information in a different wording...

..sorta like that... :?

Similar. In all honesty, I dumb it down a bit in the company of actual people. I spent too many years having people look at me quizzically when I spoke in the way that felt natural to me, so I learned to speak in a more...um...universally accepted manner :?

The only difference between real life and posting is the delete button...I think so much about everything all the time that the easiest thing to do is whittle it down so some of it is at least coherent.

I do change it up a bit- wouldn't want anyone from WP to find and stalk me in real life, based on syntax.

I don't talk very much around people I don't know well. I only have a few people I'm around that I'm completely comfortable with, when I do talk to them, my mouth gets ahead of my mind and my words often come out wrong and I have a very hard time articulating my thoughts.
I much prefer typing.

I think I fairly much write like I post and post like I write. When I post here, I'm chatty and conversational (I think?); informal, colloquial, sarcastic, whatever. I'm rambly and tangenty in real life, perhaps a bit difficult to keep up with; perhaps my posts are the same, I'm not sure. But when I post here, it feels not unlike I'm having a conversation with you (yeah, you!). I'm hyperverbose in both writing and speaking; I'm very fond of words and language and enjoy being flamboyant with them; I favour more archaic and complex constructs over more modern and simpler ones, and view this as a stylistic choice; I also love to make up words, and do so quite often. I even make up nouns and verbs and adjectives based on people I know and work with, and use them in my daily speak; e.g. I attended a very Steveistic brainstorming session on Thursday. You have to know the person I'm talking about for that to make sense; but if you do know him, it has a fairly clear meaning (and it is not at all derogatory).

I even speak in poetry that I make up on a whim sometimes (NOT to be confused with rapping!)

Good fortune,

- Icarus is mad with wordplay...

That makes me sad.

As several others have stated on here, I am much more articulate posting than talking. I've always felt that with communication, my brain flows through to my fingertips with such ease in ways that don't seem to work right when speaking. It seems to get muddled when flowing from my brain to my mouth..

Although, the way I word things in posting is similar to what I would speak when I do.. it just flows out so much easier without getting chopped up, and it doesn't take so much concentration trying to put it all together. Also, I don't tend to jump around in the topic so much in writing with endless unneeded additions, revisions and sidetracking..

How could I possibly convey my sexy Texas drawl through my posts?

My posts are nothing like the way I talk. When I say f**k or s**t in real life I don't make any effort to bleep it out. :P I don't talk all that much in real life, actually.

My answer is both yes and no. Allow me to elaborate: I use the same vocabulary and tone on the forums as I do in day-to-day life, but here my thoughts are much more eloquent. In day to day conversations, I have little time to react to what is being said to me, so my speech isn't as well-thought-out, and I usually leave people slightly confused. However, when I post in something, I have the time to think it through so that I can adequately put my thoughts into words that aptly describe them.
