You guys probably already know this, but Leonard Nimoy is Jewish, and the vulcan salute was suggested by him as he peeked when the rabbi gave the aaronic benediction. The vulcan queen, on vulcan during the ponfar(sp?) challenge RAISES her hand like that, because SHE couldn't do it!! !! ! :lol: :lol: :lol: 8O

I've been able to do that Vulcan salute, but I could never roll my tongue.

I can easily do it, with both hands.

I can also do a 'double V' salute with both hands. \ || /

The entire series of Star Trek is based on kabbalistic and Judaic teachings, stories and lore including the Priestly Blessing - not surprising since the creators, writers, directors, producers and main actors were all Jewish.

Yeah, same here. I can swap between the two on both hands quite fast (though doing it with one sign on one hand and the other sign on the other is very hard to do). It's something that a lot of people can't do easily, NT's I guess as that's most people. I don't think it's Aspie to be able/not able to do it. Though we are supposed to have less fine motor skills.

I got into American Ninja back in the day. I used to do all the "finger knots" that Michael Dudikoff would do. I am also kick-ass with a balisong knife. :lol:

Not only can I do it, but I can do it with every finger on my hand, i bet its much harder for ppl to do it with their pinky and index finger seperated then the way spock did it, i can do it without trying.

I see that it's already been mentioned that this was a jewish symbol. It was the symbol of the Cohens (the priestly order - much like the brahmans in the hindu caste system). If you're really keen, go to your nearest jewish cemetary and look at the gravestones along the perimiters of the cemetary (Cohens are supposed to be buried towards the outside). Often you will see this symbol on right on the tombstone.

That's your jewish lesson for today... tomorrow I'll teach you how to make kreplach soup.

Yep, yep. And the inverse. My hands are considered hyperextensive too, since I can bend my fingers back really far (index finger to a nearly 45 degree angle), bend my thumb to my wrist, bend my second knuckle backwards a bit on all my fingers, and bend the first knuckle on all my fingers. Makes for a fun party trick, because drunk people think it's kinda scary. lol
