Basically why I don't have one at present. I did, and couldn't stop watching the thing...same thing with the plasma lamp...the current fiber optic lamp...flashing Christmas lights...candles. I think I'm part moth. 8O

I'm sure I'll be getting another soon...can't stay away forever. :wink:

I love lava lamps :) If I would have a permanent home I would get several ones probably. When moving frequently from one country to another things like this are a bit unpractical though, my CDs are enough fragile materials to move around. But I do like lava lamps, especially red ones.

keep them away from heat sources and don't leave them on constantly and nothing bad will happen. its ok as long as u don't put it on a stove to make the blob turn into blobs faster. anyone who has seen the killer lava lamps feature on mythbusters will know what i means.

I love lava lamps! They're so relaxing. I have one with the floating blob AND glitter in it. Sometimes I just stare at it, mesmerized.

I love them.

I had one once, but it quit working. Nowadays I can't find any :(
