Love the shampoo and the combing/blow drying. Hate wet shirts (that is a sign of a crappy hairdresser) and chitchat. Just like them to play with my hair, it is so mesmerizing. I only go maybe once per year, as they always cut it too short!

I don't mind getting my hair washed at the hairdresser. I quite enjoyed the massaging but I used to freak out as a kid with other people washed my hair. However I still hate getting my hair cut. I do not like all that poking and prodding as they are going about it. So for a long time I wore my hair long.

By and large I don't have a sensory issue with haircuts except when they wet my head. I will usually want to give it an extra drying with the towel after they wash it and have wrapped the towel around my neck. The sensation of my hair being combed though is quite nice as is the warm vibration of the electric clippers against the back of my neck. I don't engage in small talk with the hair stylist. I simply like to sit back, relax and close my eyes.

I get social anxiety going for a haircut. It's almost as if I'm going for an audition when
I sit in the chair, being a little out of my depth among the other people who all seem
to be extroverts and masters of chit-chat. I don't mind the haircut itself and usually
find something to say but I'm always glad when it's over.

I love the feeling of the clipper pressing against my skin. I hate it when they try to make some small talk. I have no problem with that, but if you're cutting my hair, then do your job and don't screw up my haircut from talking to me.

ewww ewww ewwwwww...... this is one of my "AHHHHHH" things.

When I get a hair cut I cannot stop scratching. I have to change my shirt IMMEDIATELY or I go insane. Then, I don't care how much care was put into styling, I HAVE TO WASH my hair to get all the little bits of hair off.....

Ugh.. it's no wonder I look like Ringo Star all the time.

I used to go to this one place for my semi annual haircut (yes, I hate getting my hair cut that much). However, I recently moved and am in serious need of another one. I don't like tje thought of going to s new place to cut my and I always dread the small talk. Whats worse, everytime my I get a haircut my mother says "oh my, You look human now". To which I reply "Like thats an improvment. "

I don't like getting a haircut but I go to the barber about once a month. I do have sensory issues that can drive me mad if I get touched the wrong way. I like it done QUICK. No f@rting around. Just cut it and be done with it. I've had shoulder length long hair a few times but it's too much of a hassle. Getting it all windblown and out of control is annoying and to wash it is like washing a mop. The barber I have now that I just found does a great job and FAST for $10. I could never stand to have my hair styled. Too much touching and chair time. I've never seen the benefits of it anyway.

I don't mind haircuts. I like them. I like the soft touch.

I have some touch sensitivity in some places, but not others. Where I'm not hypersensitive, I really enjoy a massage. One of those places is my scalp! I love the scalp massage that my hairdresser gives with the shampoo.

I always feel awkward trying to describe how I want my hair cut, so I usually just say to cut it like ususal.

I used to be bothered by the small talk, but now I have been going to the same hairdresser for so many years, I don't have to introduce myself anymore. He is good about trying to talk about what I like to talk about. After all, it should be about pleasing the customer.

I used to take karate classes and he would always remember and ask about that. The only problem was that after I stopped taking karate, he forgot that and kept asking about it for another year or two.

Actually, the worst thing about getting a haircut is calling to make an appointment.

While the person cutting my hair is nice and easy and fun to talk to, I do not like the water being squirted in my hair/face. I always cringe when it is used.

Interesting. I have this thing about "looking good," but I've never been able to achieve it. I notice other guys with great looking hair cuts, but it remains a mystery to me how they get it to look so good. When I get my hair cut it's a big deal to me, quite stressfull, and I always hate the way I look afterwards. I always go home, get out the scissors and try to fix the parts that don't look right to me, which really f***s it all up.
I've tried growing my hair long but then I just look like a redneck.
I hate the way I look, but that's just the way it is. Sometimes I just don't care. Everything about me looks wrong. I'm tall and thin and have weird posture and stringy hair. Not much I can do about it. I'm going to have my hair cut fairly short next time, but to keep it that way I'd have to keep going back to get it cut, and I don't like having my hair cut. Never have.
Man it feels good to be able to talk like this.

I used to hate it - being mauled and pulled and pushed and (what seemed like) criticised.
I quite like it now though, with a few provisos. Getting them to cut the chat being one of them. (No, I'm not going out tonight; no I'm not doing anything special to need a haircut; no, I haven't booked/taken/going on holiday this year...).

I like it when they wash my hair, especially since my hairdresser changed their basins and they are actually quite comfortable instead of neck-breaking. I like having my scalp massaged so the hairwash is relaxing, particularly if I close my eyes and block out all the other sights and sounds while they're doing it. (Hate it if water gets in my ears though!)

I find the snip-snipping noise of the scissors quite mesmerising. It's best if I get to sit near the window so that I can keep an eye on the outside world.

The noise of the driers and the smell of all the products is overwhelming though and it's worse in the summer when it's too hot too.

I envy men that can get away with just running the clippers over their heads - so quick and easy and it costs nothing. I resent having to pay £20 just because I'm female when a man can get a cut for half that price.

usually I don't think twice about it, but I just loved it when I had 20 inches cut off. I went from spending 20 minutes just brushing my hair straight, to being able to brush it nicely in about 5 minutes, and it was still shoulder length. I've just kept getting it cut shorter and shorter each time ever since.
