I thought the outcome would be satisfaction for you in pursuing what appears to be something of great interest, and possibly adding to the body of knowledge about those with AS in a deep and meaningful way.
Ummm...by "a group of diagnosed people" could you not mean "the set of all diagnosed AS persons on WP who would respond to a request to answer some online tests," or do you think it would need to be in-person research? Do you think people answer online tests and written tests in a (perhaps) dishonest fashion? Is chronological age a barrier in itself, or do you think that you lack the resources to conduct a reasonably formal study, age notwithstanding?
As far as your outcome, well, yes, there was always that, but still... I am taking a course that is affecting my thinking in the topics of "Interests" and "Pursuit of Goals". If you really are interested in this course, I could summarize it, but it is, after all, an entire course.
I think the research would have to be in-person. Even with the psychologically normal people that the system was designed for, people are recommended to review and question their results with a person who has been professionally trained to administer the test.
I believe that the answers people give on tests can be intentionally or unintentionally false. I think more often false answers are unintentional.
My chronological age is not a barrier in itself. My age prevents me from having the resources to conduct the research.
