Well, actually, I respect everyone. As human beings. But don't respect anyone as an authority figure. I don't believe I'm inferior because I don't have a degree, and I don't believe I'm infrior because I don't follow the 10 commandments verbatim, and here's why.

If you destroy someone physically, you get life or death. If you destory someone in a much worse way, you get off scot-free. Justice? Only to an ignorant fool.

But they call me ignorant fool, because I don't have a conventional opinion or view. I have been called ignorant, stupid, even scary. That is part of what destroyed me.

Those ignorant bastards, following the 10 commandments but doing the most horrible, evil thing in the world.

It's corrupt, full of people on power trips, and I have difficulty with authority because I don't and never have been able to understand hierarchies. I come off as a smartass with a disrespect for authority. I just fear it because I don't understand it and the repercussions of that combination has been my downfall in a number of ways throughout my life. No, I've never been in trouble with the cops or anything, aside from a speeding ticket, but the whole lot of them make me uncomfortable.

I have a friend who's a cop. I know other people who work in varying areas of law enforcement. I'm also considering a career in that field, fingerprint identification, DNA, or pathology. I suppose that makes me corrupt, doesn't it?

The justice system is fine- it is the government and the way many laws are written which is wrong. Distrust and dislike of people simply doing their jobs and following the rules is asinine. The rules themselves are what's unjust.

Lawyers however... I have a serious issue with.

I don't disrespect anyone, even people who "earned" it... or at least I try not to disrespect anyone. I just lack certain kinds of respect, like blind trust in a certain sense. :)

"Blind" strongly contradicts the "-spect" part...

I've never understood the gang rape psychology. Or even congregations of sex offenders. How the hell do they get together to decide to do that? It is not something I'd imagine the instigator would just mention in passing. I do understand how to could happen in various conflicts where there was ethic cleansing and/or strong divisions and bigotry already instilled. Maybe that was an example of such but it does happen in any situation. Maybe these things are happening on a micro scale. They say those types of people are some of the most manipulative people you can get.

I remember a story about a group of pedophiles and they had left a mobile number with some message in a toilet of a train and they managed to abuse several girls this way.

The UK statistic says that around 17% of rapist are strangers (including date rape), 50% are partners or ex-parters and the rest are known to the victim.

I also think there is no justice. I don't trust any legal or justice system or any institution. I definatly don't trust the health system any more. -same with the eduaction system. I only trust one or two individuals.

without trust there can be no respect. I respect everyone but i am losing respect for some people right now because of how unfair they have been to me.

I used to trust everyone when i was young and i used to believe they were fair. -stupid me

Justice is in the eye of the beholder or something to that effect.

I think there is occasionally justice but not everyone would agree on it.

Justice systems based on direct retribution (I hate that word :P ) are flawed. In theory at least justice systems sentence based on the law of the Jurisdiction not of the law of the victim, thought it is pretty normal to expect your own justice, after all that Jurisdiction is serving you as well.

I'm not very trusting in general.

I am the same way. I think there is a need for some hierarchies, but what happens is that people think that because they are "above" you in the hierarchy, they can disrespect you. Which I don't believe in.

I have been able to be "under" someone only if I respect them; if they treat me with respect and they are intelligent, capable, etc. For example, a swim coach, or a boss. But if someone is an idiot or puts me down, I don't see any reason to "submit" to them. And yet, they are surprised by this because most people will submit to them just because of their position.

People are so f---d up!

So long as the politicians, the court system, and those in law enforcement mostly act as if law and justice are the same thing, there will never be justice.

The words are different in meaning, even if one is often intended to achieve the other.

The big picture part of the problem here is that the people who are in charge of keeping the legal system just are often not worthy of that trust. The people are just people therefore completely awful and horrible altogether. They are capable of being misguided and stupid. They make decisions based on their own prejudices, illogicalness, etc. The system definitely needs a major face lift. When you guys figure it out, let me know. I'll go to that judge!
