Since I'm neither, it's probably a good choice either way I go.

I'll flip a coin: AS.

If I took a pill that would make me NT...

...would that mean that I became unlogically thinking, got a less good memory, got more superficial, obsessed with clothes and appearance, unable to focus on one thing at the time, began to talk about irrelevant stuff, became eager to complain on other's behalf, and became obsessed with normality, and even more of that kind?? 8O

I'd choose being an Aspie over a listless, superficial bluepill anyday.

I selected "aspie" because it is a category which describes part of who I am. Since I like myself <grin>, it was the only reasonable choice.

I know new quite a few sensitive NT's, my sister among them. It hurts eveyone to be put down, not just aspies ans it can work both ways. When I was in floriculture I ininvertanly made a girl cry because of my lack of tack. I had a friend who is NT, pretty normal in most ways and very social but wasn't in the "cool" group, persay. It hurt her alot when the "in crowd" would tease her.
I have read accounts of NT's killing themselves because they weren't popular enough (they weren't pretty enough, rich enough, thin enough, didn't have the right clothing, or the right connections, and/or they were teased). Very few NT's acctually make the popular group (a small select part of the population; I don't like the word elite but for them the phrase social elite does apply) and struggle socially to fit in; a problem I don't have because I don't get social convention, have never fit in and thus do not try.
I still maintain that there are many NT's who suffer as much pain as us, though mostly in a different way.
To quote the song Under The Sea "Life is always greener in somebody else's lake. You dream about going up there, but that is a big mistake. Just look at the world around you right here on the ocean floor such wonderful things surround you, what more is you looking for." (The is isn't a typo thats how its song).
Life always looks better for others, but it isn't always better, just different. A lot of difficult things come with having Asperger's Syndrome but we have good things as well. We are worth as much as NTs; they are not better than us.
