Im rubbish wid names but quite good wid faces dis is why i have nicknames 4 other ppl who i know.

Indeed.My own name is Ian,with one i,which is
the slightly Anglised form of this Gaelic version of
John.It reminds me of the man who went to an optician and when asked about his first name replied Ian.
'Is it only one i ?',the receptionist enquired.
'No,I've come about both of them'.

I have to really get to know people before I can remember their names. I'll never remember it right off the bat. I often have to ask someone, 'so what was so-and-so's name?'

Human names are unto me not unlike the waters of an icy mountain lake drizzled haphazardly onto the back of a coot. Coot feathers are highly hydrophobic if kept clean, and beautifully black as an added bonus. The water makes brief, chilling contact, but escapes as quickly as it can through the most expedient route. And moments later, you'd never know the coot had been wet (and, arguably, it never actually was).

Humans all look the same to me.

I REALLY struggle with most names. I end up naming people by what they wear or look like. I still don't know Purple's name...

I do the same...

if i care, i know their name.

i also prefer names in stories. like, if someone is trying to tell me a story, i hate when they say "the first guy" or "girl B" or whatever. i have to re-name all the characters before i can follow their story- but i rename them stuff like "piggy-cop" or "strut-boy" more often than Mike or Lizzy.
