yep. both sitting and lying sometimes. Though I usually end up stretching my legs out sometime during the night or my knees will start to hurt. Usually I sit at the computer with my whole body on the chair, because sitting up straight with my feet on the floor is just uncomfortable. Right now, I have one leg under me and my arm around the other.

I curl up with a body pillow when I sleep, not quite completely in a fetal position though.Though If I lay down on top of my blankets and am not covered up I do tend to go more fetal for warmth. My big thing when sleeping is I sleep on my side and need my pillow to prop up the leg on top to be comfortable at all.

Oh boy I wished my ex. saw this thread. I bet he would feel stupid now for even thinking I was a baby for doing this and it had nothing to do with me being an adult baby. I told him me sitting like that is part of me and i have always done it, and did he listen, no. :x

Yeah, I sit and sleep that way. My knees are always stiff from it too. Stiff knees make me feel old.

Rarely, it gives me cramps. But when I'm afraid, yes.

Same here.

That's so funny that this thread showed up today. I was thinking about posting this topic when I was driving home from work this evening. Maybe it's a Portland thing.

Anyway, yep I think it's interesting too. Whenever I'm cold, and noone's around, my first instinct is to squat down, and wrap my arms tightly around my legs. When I was younger, I would fall asleep like this after I got out of the shower in the morning, sometimes tipped over, lying on my toes, arms and head. Strange.

Woah, that was weird...I just noticed I'm in that position now. But it's 4 am, gimme a break!

I think it's not that big of a deal. As long as you don't do it while sucking your thumb and rocking back and forth, I don't do this, but I've seen it before...this is where I start reaching for the straight-jacket.

I sleep in a fetal position. It also feels weird if I don't.
