The Wisconsin Card Sorting Test was one of the tests included during my evaluation. According to the Psychologist who administered the test, “The WCST is a measure of abstract reasoning and the ability to develop and maintain an appropriate problem-solving strategy across changing conditions”.
After taking the test, I thought, “well, that was fairly easy”. Um. Wrong. I scored pretty low on that test (percentile wise). I was fairly surprised.
The Psychologist wrote that I was “less flexible when problem-solving, requiring more time to switch to a different problem-solving strategy once it was clear that his previous strategy was incorrect”.
Interestingly, I scored even lower (percentile wise) on the Wechsler Memory Scale.
