1 John 3 (New International Version) I like this part :/

7Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. 9No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

11This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. 13Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. 14We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 15Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.

16This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 17If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? 18Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 19This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence 20whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.

21Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. 23And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. 24Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

mw99 make sure she only stops at wanting you to read the bible & not thinking about taking you to exorcism, book of bible is just word's of moral guides... Even though some can be taken wrong..

I think Jesus might have been an Aspie. (Just thought I would throw that out there.) Think about it...he went against social and societal norms...had a very intense way of speaking...prayed in the garden of Gethsemane alone, spent 40 days alone in the wilderness no problem...had a few close friends, but other people sort of exhausted him...always knew he "was not like all the other kids." Knew the Scriptures inside and out by age twelve. Had what I like to call a Rich Inner Life.
Extrapolating from my hypothesis, reading the Bible might make your Asperger's that much more intense.

Someone posted that a couple years ago riverotter I remember that well and I was looking for that post but can't find it. So funny, something like "How we know Jesus had Aspergers". It was great. I read my bible and I think it's a good source of guidance, expecally Proverbs. But cure Aspergers? I say cure what causes you pain.....thats it. But celebrate who you are. The God who wrote the book accepts you, so you are in good company.

Ok I found it. I remember my response to, I was abit......"Ah geesh," but then I realised it was all done in good humour.

We need all of the help we can get.

Time to make Jesus Christ an honorary aspie. He is very qualified, and being Jewish and Christian too, covers a lot of demographic ground.

1. Clear lack of awareness of social boundaries. Who else would disappear for eighteen years, come back and expect to immediately be hired as Messiah with an eighteen year gap in his resume?

2. Behavior as twelve-year old, wandering off from parents and talking with scholars at Temple; how like a little aspie professor.

3. Intense, narrow interests: Other than capentry, what else did he talk about but philosophy?

4. Lots of savant skills.

5. Pedantic Speech: More of a lecturer than a listener.

6. Unique communication style; preferred parables to giving direct answers to questions.

7. Special interest in capentry appropriate for many of us.

8. No apparent girlfriend, wife or really any friends. Just a fan club.
Hung out with known hookers and other outcasts.

Come on down, JC, and join your earthly aspie community!

Because an Aspie wouldn't have converted water into wine without a three hour sermon on how water and wine are both liquids and can be poured from one container to another and and and and and and and..... 8)

This will only work if you're not Jewish...

Ask your mum whether the bible is right or wrong...

She will say "right"

Now read Leviticus 12 to her...

If she's never actually read the bible, you may need to call emergency services - no, it's not bad, just quite obviously silly - a bit Monty Python.

Purification of a Woman after Childbirth

12:1 The Lord spoke to Moses: 12:2 “Tell the Israelites, ‘When a woman produces offspring1 and bears a male child,2 she will be unclean seven days, as she is unclean during the days of her menstruation.3 12:3 On4 the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin5 must be circumcised. 12:4 Then she will remain6 thirty-three days in blood purity.7 She must not touch anything holy and she must not enter the sanctuary until the days of her purification are fulfilled.8 12:5 If she bears a female child, she will be impure fourteen days as during her menstrual flow, and she will remain sixty-six days in9 blood purity.10

12:6 “‘When11 the days of her purification are completed for a son or for a daughter, she must bring a one year old lamb12 for a burnt offering13 and a young pigeon or turtledove for a sin offering14 to the entrance of the Meeting Tent, to the priest. 12:7 The priest15 is to present it before the Lord and make atonement16 on her behalf, and she will be clean17 from her flow of blood.18 This is the law of the one who bears a child, for the male or the female child. 12:8 If she cannot afford a sheep,19 then she must take two turtledoves or two young pigeons,20 one for a burnt offering and one for a sin offering, and the priest is to make atonement on her behalf, and she will be clean.’”21

You were created in God's own image. Why would you want a cure?

God created aspies for a reason. If He wants us to be cured, He will give someone the Wisdom and Knowledge for a cure.
