Thanks everyone. My doctor is incompetent because he has refuted everything TWO CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRISTS have said about me before, when all he is is an associate specialist. He thinks he's so clever, that is the problem. I know my problem. When I go off my meds, I go schizo. Simple. He wants me off my meds in the summer. This will be messy.
Just tell him about your experience with your meds. If he doesn't comply, it is MAL PRACTICE! Do what you can to stay on them.
That isn't malpractice. Malpractice is when a doctor abuses his position with malicious intent.

ACTUALLY, MAL PRACTICE is a word made up of two parts:
MAL=BAD
PRACTICE=PRACTICE
SO, MAL PRACTICE is BAD PRACTICE! According to you, amputating a leg needlessly is NOT malpractice, but it IS! Asking a patient that has had great success with a drug to simply STOP for no reason IS malpractice! BTW Intent is NOT important! If they are an idiot, and think that you will have no bad outcome, but will save money, is is STILL malpractice. THE ONLY time you can argue against malpractice is if it is a simple accident or current understanding shows that the suggestions were reasonable.
