Check your rearview mirror frequently (not every other second, but enough that the examiner knows you know what is behind you.) And always check the side mirror and then look over your shoulder before changing lanes.

It's natural to feel nervous,but that's not a
bad thing as it can heighten your concentration.
Don't worry too much about it being a test,
the important thing is just to focus on driving
the best you can as normal.
With your experience I'm sure you'll be fine.
In fact,as a learner you are probably a better
driver than some people who have let their
skills lapse after passing the test !

yeah..things were much easier then '(75); when we got in power, we made everyone else start later and later.
16 for licenses
18 for beer
21 for liquor
18 for X-rated (now NC17) theaters (before tape..

but enough nostalgia...
Only one of those has changed- you can't get beer at 18. The rest are the same, aren't they?
I'm from South Australia, and I'm having a VORT (vehicle on road test) in a couple of weeks, so I'm guessing our tests are pretty similar.
When approaching an intersection to turn, remember Men In Black:
Mirror first (make sure you're all clear)
Indicator
Brake
Keep to the speed limit
If you make a move (changing lanes, turning etc) decide what you want to do, make sure that you're all clear to go, and commit to the move because if you're indecisive, this looks very bad. Stop at all stop signs or it's an automatic fail.
I hope this helps a little bit.
As a side note, we're not allowed to do our test in clogs in SA... yes, it actually says that.
just follow instructions. listen carefully to the guy who is doing the test. sometimes, he may try to trick you like saying go fast and you accidently go past the speed limit.
dont forget to check seatbelts, mirror etc, first.
